We’re so glad you’ve decided to visit us! We know visiting a new place comes with a lot of questions, so below we’ll answer a few of them for you.. Please don’t hesitate to send us a message or give us a call at (414) 271-8782

How do I get there?

You can click here to get directions from any location. Generally, you can take I-43 from the north, exiting at 11th street, and  from the south, exiting at 10th street; you can take I-94 from the west, exiting at 13th street, or WI-794 from the east, exiting at W Clybourn St.

Where should I park?

Being in the heart of the city doesn’t lend itself to large parking lots, but thankfully there are hundreds of parking spots on the street around the church, and most are free, in the evening or on the weekend when we have most services. There are also a number of parking lots in the area. Click here for a visual.

What should I wear?

God welcomes you to come as you are, and so do we. You will see some of the congregation dressed up; some dressed casually. We have no expectations for your attire, so dress for your comfort.

Useful Information

Calvary Presbyterian is easily accessible from I-43 by taking exit 72A from the south or by taking exit 72E from the north. You can also get to the church from the east via I-94 by taking exit 310A from the west.

Calvary has service each Sunday starting at 10:30 am, followed by coffee and snacks. Join us for one or both whenever you like.

Calvary Presbyterian is a church in the heart of downtown Milwaukee and only has a small parking lot, but there are hundreds of parking areas within walking distance that are free every Sunday. The image below shows details of those parking spots.

Although Calvary Presbyterian is housed in a church that is nearly 150 years old, the church is handicap accessible and fully ADA compliant. When you arrive at the church simply enter at the door to the left of our main stairway on Wisconsin. There is an elevator that will take you to the sanctuary level.

  • I have found Calvary to be the perfect church for my family. Warm and inviting, a small enough congregation so everyone feels like family.

  • The congregation is diverse and interesting.
Calvary offers a creative blend of elements that compliment the Sunday service, including family friendly "park explorers" outings, book studies, music, knitting in the balcony and fellowship.

  • The hosts were gracious and eager to give a little history on the place if you were willing to ask/listen.. it's very pretty inside and sort of peaceful - even with the hustle bustle of camera men and extras. If you plan to visit this church - for whatever reason - please visit the website first. It's super easy to access but the website has suggestions for parking which will be very useful for visitors.

  • We love this church. The congregation is small but diverse and welcoming, and members come from all over the greater MKE area. The church building itself is beautiful and a historic landmark, with a vaulted ceiling and lovely stained glass but no pews. Instead, there are semicircular rows of chairs set up around a table so that the church worships "in the round," which gives the church an intimate feel.
